I never worried about the street cats
They never knew a home
I never worried about the street cats
They never knew a right from a wrong
I never worried about the street cats
They never answered when they were called
I never should have let her leave the house
When she came back
All she said was
She wanted to sleep it off
When I checked on her
The bed was empty
And the window was open
Was I really a prison?
I only feed the street cats now
They never make it past the proch
And that's alright by me
I never worry about the street cats
And they don't pretend to worry about me
